Over two and a half months later, the late legendary singer, George Michael, will be finally laid to rest. It is reported that George Kyriacos Panayiotou's family are planning a traditional Greek Orthodox burial in the UK.

The singer's body is reported to have been released to his sister Panayiota Panayiotou.

The death certificate of George Michael and his cause of death have been released:

A source not authorized to speak publicly and asking to remain anonymous who works at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain said that “top Greek Orthodox clerics” at the Archdiocese, which oversee the British Isles parishes, were involved in burial plans and that the funeral could take place as early as this Sunday.

Outside of George Michael's home in London fans from around the world leave flowers. A huge Cypriot flag hangs over the bushes.

According to reports from the Daily Star, George's family will keep the funeral arrangement a secret from fans.

A spokesperson for the star refused to comment on any speculation around his death or the upcoming funeral arrangements.

At Highgate Cemetery, where it is believed the singer will be buried, a recorded telephone message says: "If you're phoning about George Michael, I'm sorry we haven't got any information for you."

The home page of the cemetery's official website also reads: "Sorry, we have no information about George Michael."
