Renowned Greek Canadian American comedian and actor Angelo Tsarouchas is embarking on his much anticipated Diaspora World Tour. Get tickets here
Born in Canada, Tsarouchas spent several years in London, UK, before establishing his home in Los Angeles, California. “Living in three distinct countries provides a unique perspective on the global perception of comedy,” Tsarouchas remarks.
Growing up, Tsarouchas was exposed to British and American comedies, which instilled in Canadians a distinct understanding of humor and broadened his comedic repertoire.
As an internationally acclaimed stand-up comedian, podcaster, and actor, Tsarouchas’s career encompasses numerous films and television shows. However, he remains captivated by the potential for new adventures. “Weird things happen on the road,” Tsarouchas asserts, and he dedicates time to discussing these experiences on stage.
Tsarouchas stands out as one of the few comedians to have performed at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall in London, Carnegie Hall in New York, and the Sydney Opera House in Australia. The most frequently asked question following a performance is, “Did that truly happen?” Tsarouchas consistently responds with, “YES! You can’t make this stuff up!”
Angelo cherishes and incorporates his Greek heritage into his everyday life while raising his family in Los Angeles. A master griller, when he is not on tour, he hosts
parties for his friends and shares his love of culture and food.
Tsarouchas thrives on the juxtaposition of his Greek upbringing in the Western world, transforming his travels, family life, and everyday absurdities into universal laughter.
Angelo, having lived in various countries and locations, offers a unique perspective on global comedic viewpoints. Angelo says, “living in different countries, living in different places, gives you a different perspective of how comedy is viewed around the world. Sprinkle that with some feta,” he says jokingly, “is a recipe for good comedy.”
Currently on his Diaspora World Tour, Angelo has concluded sold-out performances in Athens and Thessaloniki, Greece; Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide, Australia. This fall, he will embark on a tour of Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States, showcasing his exceptionally humorous and adaptable show.
As Angelo says: “Come for the jokes, stay for the stories—then call your mother!” Diaspora World Tour. Get tickets here
