
Greek American actress, Melina Kanakaredes is returning home with her latest “Greek Candy” half-hour tv series comedy that is in development for a free streaming service called IMDb TV, which is an Amazon service online.
The beloved TV star Kanakaredes known for her longtime roles in popular shows like ‘CSI New York’ and ‘Providence’, is co-writing and executive producing the “Greek Candy” comedy series. The series will feature multiple generations of family including a mom, dad, three teenage daughters, and a very Greek immigrant Yiayia and Pappou.
A Greek candy shop will be the focus of the show and will take from Kanakaredes’ own upbringing at Temo’s, a chocolate shop in her native Akron, Ohio that made chocolates for 75 years.
Melina’s mom Connie is the former Connie Temo, whose Greek immigrant parents first founded the family chocolate shop in 1947.

IMDb TV began in January of 2019 and is part of Amazon Studios. IMDb TV is available on Fire TV, within the Prime Video and IMDb apps and on Google TV, Roku, PlayStation 4 and other smart devices.
