Greece continues to be in a even stricter lockdown as Coronavirus cases surge all over the country. Many countries in Europe and throughout the world are also in a lockdown. We are living in very unprecedented times that have dramatically changed our lives. Rather than publishing all negative news we wanted to share with you the beautiful Christmas lights in Syntagma Square and Omonia Square that spread a tiny bit of joy and cheer this year. Moreover, the New Years Eve fireworks under the amazing Acropolis that you may have missed that will leave you breathless!
Happy New Year 2021 to all! We are hoping that 2021 is much healthier and happier for all humanity! Greece may be going through difficult times but is always beautiful. Even in a lockdown!
It is very important that as Greeks we remember that “Greeks don’t fight like heroes, heroes fight like Greeks!” We hope that 2021 blesses all our followers with health, happiness, patience and courage! Greeks have endured over 400 years of slavery under the Ottoman Empire rule and continue to be provoked daily to this day by Turkey. We are a resilient culture, that will survive and will thrive. We ask for all to stay safe and cherish quality time with their families. If there is one positive thing that came out of 2020 it is to never take anything for granted, and always be happy with what we do have! Love and our BIG FAT Greek families that are the for us. Stay positive…but test negative! 😉
